The podcast is between 30 minutes to 1 hour in length but every minute is worth listening too. They provide in-depth knowledge about the topic in question, such as, when the best time to visit a destination, some of the best sights to see, tips on visiting that specific location, tips on food and drinking tours and so much more.

Holly engages with the listeners by asking informal travel related questions to her guest star. The engaging questions, draws some of the greatest stories from the guests from their first travel memory to how travel has shaped their life.

She has interviewed some big names such as Nadiya Hussain the winner of the Great British Bake off, Richard Branson, Ainsley Harriott a celebrity chef, Dynamo the magician, to Lonely Planet’s founder Tony Wheeler and Hugh Bonneville the star of Downton Abbey and many more.

It’s incredible to hear the travel journey and stories.

Then Zero to Travel Podcast will be something you must listen too. Jason interviews experienced travellers, who have travelled most of the globe on as little money as possible or for free. The guest will share their experience, tips and inspiration on how they went from zero to travel.

There has been some real stand out stories that Jasons guests have told, from WWOOF (Worldwide Opportunities on Organic Farms), how to earn free travel with travel hacking, to walking across America and so much more.

Conde Nest Traveller Podcast

Do you like to read small travel stories? Well, you can listen to them now! Escape Routes with Conde Nest Traveller showcase some of their best short travel stories that have been published in the Conde Nest Traveller magazine and read to you by the writer.

The stories transport the listener straight to the destination, with authentic sounds and descriptions. A great concept in keeping with the traditional travel theme, but portrayed in a different setting.

The content’s short, running for about 30 minutes, making this ideal for someone on the go with as little time on their hands to stop and read.

We have really enjoyed listening to these stories, transporting us by sound to that destination.

The Thoughtful Travel Podcast

Amanda Kendle the creator of The Thoughtful Travel Podcast, chats to avid travellers, who discuss their stories of travels.

The Thoughtful Travel Podcast delves into different topics, like food in a foreign language which is one of the comical episodes we have listen too, getting lost, smashing stereotypes and many, many more.

Each episode runs for between 15-30 minutes in length and well worth a listen. The topics are so diverse, drawing you in as you listen to the stories being told.

If you love to travel, then you must listen to The Thoughtful Travel Podcast.

The Worst Traveller

The Worst Traveller by Tom Page, talks about his travel stories and leaves you on a cliff hanger at the end of each episode. Making you want to listen to the next one to find out what happened on his adventure.

The episodes are quite short at about 15 – 20 minutes and actually quiet entertaining.

It is possible to think that Tom must be the worst traveller after listening to a number of his stories, but he is adventurous and certainly has a story or two to tell.

You could negatively think that why would you want to listen to sometime scary and horrible travel stories, it could put any potential traveller off. However, we look upon this as a way to learn from his experiences and plan our trip, make sure we have accommodation booked before the trip and research the country and area we are to visit.

Whilst we want to make memories that will last for a lifetime, we don’t want to endure some of the things he has gone through.

The upside, are the stories are intense and great to listen too.

Kinging-it

The creators of Kinging-it are Craig and Aimee offering great travel advice and tips with the added light hearted comedy that they both bring to every episode. Not only have we picked up on some really useful tips, but at the same time laughing along at every episode.

The episodes are between 40-45 minutes and very entertaining and comical.

We think this is a real stand out for travel podcasts. We have listened to a number of different concepts, but for us it is so different but in a good way.

Avid travellers must listen to this very informative travel podcast.

Conclusion

These travel podcasts should keep you going for months if not years, consistently providing you with travel tips, inspiration and even comedy along the way.

There’s a variety of lengths, depending on how much time you have available. Sometimes, after a long day at work, you just want to kick off those shoes and relax and escape to a far-off destination. And that’s just what podcasts can do.

We hope you enjoy listening as much as we have.
